Hygeia™ is Here

I am now selling Hygeia Breastpumps and Products and renting Hygeia Hospital Grade breastpumps.

I have debated carrying products for a long time and have decided that it can benefit both myself and clients in a number of ways. Often when a new mom rents/purchases a breast pump, she does it because she feels breastfeeding isn't going well, her baby isn't latching on or she is engorged. She may have planned to buy a pump later for return to work or maybe she didn't feel she would need one. Some mothers buy a pump when they are pregnant to prepare for going back to work. The first group of moms really need breastfeeding assistance, the second group need good advice on what pump will best suit their needs. If these moms go to a chain store they will get neither. I am hoping by providing this service I will be able to give mothers the help and support they need and help them choose products that are right for their situations without spending more money then necessary. I will gladly tell them if they would benefit more from breastfeeding help then a pump, something a store would never do.

I am pleased to be working with Hygeia for a number of reasons. The first is their Total Compatibility Guarantee on their pumps. This means if a mom buys a pump that does not meet her needs she can exchange it or return it any time in the first 21 days. No other company will allow you to return a used breast pump unless it is defective and even then I have heard lots of excuses why companies won't help moms. The pumps come with a three year guarantee. Another unique feature is that the pumps are certified by the FDA to be safe for multiple users with clean replacement kits. This applies to both their Hospital Grade Rentals (which is true for other rentals) and their Professional Grade Personal pumps (not true for the majority). This means that when mom is no longer using her pump she can: sell it, loan it or safely store it and know that it can be used again with no fear of contamination. The parts of the motor never come in contact with her milk.

Hygeia is also in Total Compliance with the World Health Organization Code (WHO) code for the Marketing of Breastmilk substitutes which means they truly support breastfeeding above profit!
